We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and possess the mechanical knowledge necessary to handle various automotive challenges. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing assistance to motorists in need. This role requires excellent driving skills, including experience with manual transmission and flatbed towing. Located in Suffern, $21/hr

• Available to tow all hours of the night -On call 24/6 - Friday till 7pm, and Saturday from 9pm.
• 30% commission on the tow after hours
• 9am-5pm in the shop

Duties

• Operate tow trucks to transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service while assisting stranded motorists.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Perform basic automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of services rendered and vehicle conditions.
• Manage conflicts professionally when dealing with distressed customers.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on towing equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Drive responsibly in various weather conditions while adhering to all traffic laws.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, particularly in high-pressure situations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Experience with load unloading techniques for vehicles, especially flatbed towing.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred; must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to manage conflicts effectively and maintain professionalism at all times.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
