Job Title: Legal Assistant – Estate Planning/Administration

Overview:

One of our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their busy Estate Planning and Administration practice. This role involves working closely with experienced Estate Attorneys in a high-volume, fast-paced department. The ideal candidate is conscientious, highly organized, and capable of effectively communicating with both attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare legal documents, including engagement letters, powers of attorney, wills, and trusts.
• Communicate directly with clients to schedule meetings and address inquiries.
• Open and manage new client files.
• Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems.
• Track attorney time records, handle billing, and manage attorney calendars.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating administrative tasks for the estate planning team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of legal assistant experience, preferably in estate planning or administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and strong Microsoft Word skills.
• At least 1 year of experience using a document management system, preferably iManage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
