The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience managing large-scale Oracle databases and at least 3 years of experience working with Oracle databases in cloud environments, specifically AWS or Azure IaaS. This position will play a key role in Proof of Concepts (POCs) for Tessell and will work directly with our Sales Team to help drive business and technical discussions with clients. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance, availability, and scalability of complex Oracle database environments, and engaging with prospective clients in POC activities. You will help design and implement Oracle database solutions tailored to client needs, enabling our sales team to showcase our offerings. Key Responsibilities: POC Leadership & Sales Support: Act as the technical lead for POC engagements. Collaborate with the Sales Team to define objectives, design solutions, and present technical demos. Customer-Facing Role: Work closely with clients to understand requirements, deliver Oracle solutions, and advise on leveraging Oracle technologies. Database Management: Oversee administration, optimization, and maintenance of large Oracle databases, ensuring high performance and availability. Cloud Expertise: Manage Oracle databases on AWS or Azure, assist with cloud migration, deployment, and performance tuning. Performance Tuning & Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and recommend strategies for tuning and optimization. Technical Sales Support: Support the sales team with technical presentations and complex queries. Database Architecture Design: Design scalable, high-availability, disaster recovery solutions. Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction. Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts for monitoring, maintenance, and backups using shell, PL/SQL, etc. Documentation & Reporting: Document POC outcomes, proposals, and client feedback.
