Purchasing Manager – Detroit Lakes, MN

RMB Environmental Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at our Detroit Lakes headquarters . In this critical role, you will oversee the procurement of goods and services to support our laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in every purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing activities for laboratory supplies, equipment, and services.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking.
• Collaborate with lab, operations, and finance teams to forecast needs and maintain budget alignment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a laboratory, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
