Job Purpose

As a Purchasing Specialist III , you will play a crucial role in assessing supplier quotes, reviewing schedules, and understanding the processes involved in creating parts and their associated manufacturing costs. Your expertise will be vital in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage supplier quotations to ensure all specifications and styling intents are met. Analyze gaps and negotiate directly with suppliers to achieve cost targets.
• Coordinate supplier activities to maintain development schedules and tooling, ensuring on-time fulfillment for production needs.
• Create comprehensive documents to justify proposals for effective cost evaluations, utilizing cost tables and supplier data.
• Lead initiatives to meet the production requirements of Honda manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, quantitative analysis, or engineering preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in project management, cost analysis, product development, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and internet search tools.
